Super Eagles and Cardiff City left-full-back, Jamilu Collins has narrated his ordeal after being sidelined by knee injury for nine months.
Speaking on NFF.com, the former Paderborn defender described those nine months as one of the most difficult moments of his career.
“I have never suffered any injury since I started playing football professionally and to go through a whole nine months without football was a torrid period for me,” the former SC Paderborn wing-back said.
“The ACL injury experience was terrible and when treatment started it was like I got a new knee,” he said.
He then thanked NFF chairman, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau for his fatherly role not forgetting Secretary General of the Country FA Dr. Sanusi, team admin officer, Dayo Enebi, and coach Jose Peseiro for always staying in touch
“I want to appreciate the new NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusau; the General Secretary, Dr. Sanusi; Coach Jose Peseiro, Super Eagles’ Team Administrator Dayo Enebi Achor and; my Super Eagleteammatestes for reaching out and showing me love during this period. It all mattered so much to me and I’m grateful,” Collins concluded.
