The Confederation of African Football( CAF) may grant Algeria the hosting rights of the 2023 African Cup of Nations if the reports from the visit of CAF General Secretary Veron Omba-Mosengo to Ivory Coast is anything to go by.
During the visit to Ivory Coast, some key facilities and infrastructure were reportedly not ready which did not go well with the football body.
And according to the update from CAF headquarters in Cairo Egypt, the football governing body is already working on plan B and the North African country is in a pole position to host the competition.
CAF Secretary and his delegation visited Blida stadium and had to meet with Sports Minister Abderrahmane Hammad to get his opinion on getting the hosting right of the African Cup of Nations next January.
