NDLEA warns Broda Shaggi, Mr. Macaroni, other skit makers over abuse of jacket

By David Kabiyesi

Irked by the abuse of its uniform by comedians in the entertainment industry, the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has warned the likes of Broda Shaggi, Mr. Macaroni, and other skit makers to desist from the act.

In a statement released by NDLEA on Tuesday, the agency image maker, Femi Babafemi said the body will not hesitate to clamp down on any skit maker who displays NDLEA jacket on air to mislead viewers.

A viral video where skit maker, Mathew C Eze adorned himself with a jacket similar to that of NDLEA did not go down well with NDLEA officials.

“We will like to reiterate that the confusion the controversial video has created in the minds of members of the public underscores the need for some social media content producers to show restraint, responsibility, and decorum in how they misuse paraphernalia of law enforcement officers to avoid misconceptions and insinuations,” Babafemi said.

“The agency will also like to remind those fond of this kind of indiscretion, especially the misuse of its official jackets to mislead and create false impressions, that such has consequences.”
