Check out I of Africa’s interview with Nigerian born, Paris based filmmaker Andy Amadi Okoroafor. We took a walk around the Lower East Side/Chinatown in New York City, one of his favorite places, as Andy talked about his work as a filmmaker, fashion photographer, and his magazine Clam.
Andy also discusses his movie Relentless, which premiered during the New York African Film Festival. Shot in Lagos, Nigeria Relentless explores the effect of war on soldiers, their loved ones, and society and takes a provocative look well at issues such prostitution, bribery, and corruption.
Although I was born and raised in Lagos, Relentless showed a bustling, chaotic yet beautiful city through a perspective I had never seen before.
