Following the protests over the scarcity of fuel and redesigned Naira notes across some states, governors are putting in measures to curb more disruptions. In Kaduna state, Nasir El-rufai called on citizens not carry out any form of protests over the scarcity of the redesigned notes, he met with the leadership of the Kaduna state market traders association and took the opportunity to criticise the timeline of the CBN policy, stating that the ensuing crisis is inciting the people against the APC-led government.
In another development, the Governor of Kano state, Abbdullahi Ganduje, stirred up a new wave of controversy on social media after stating that those behind the annulment of the June 12 presidential election in 1993 are seeking to scuttle the forthcoming elections with the Naira Redesign policy.
Finally, a video showing the 13 member band of the United States Navy playing for students at the University of lagos to support the on going 2023 Obangame express which is the largest multinational Maritime exercise in Western and Central Africa, in the video now making rounds on social media, the naval officers played an instrumental rendition of ‘Ayra starr’s Rush’.
