Governor Darius Ishaku of Taraba State has congratulated the Muslim Umma for the successful completion of the one month Ramadan fasting.
Governor Ishaku in a statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bala Dan Abu described Ramadan as an important event in the Islamic calendar and its observance by the Muslim faithful as required of them by their faith as a demonstration of self-discipline, self-denial and sacrifice.
He praised Allah for the peace prevailing throughout the state and which has added glamour to the celebration.
Ishaku thanked Muslims in the state for supporting his administration with prayers all through its eight years in the saddle without which government would not have succeeded as much as it did in transforming the state for the greater good of the people.
The governor reminded the people of the state that this would be his last Eid-El-Fitr goodwill message to them as their governor but expressed happiness that he was leaving office of governor with fond memories of their support and encouragement.He urged them to continue to pray and work for peace and unity among the people of the state.
He expressed happiness that his administration succeeded tremendously in achieving peace and in uniting the people and noted that he was leaving the leadership seat in the state a fulfilled man.
Ishaku urged them to support the in-coming administration also with their prayers and never to engage in anything that could jeopardize its determination to develop the state.
