Fikayo Tomori, AC Milan defender, has narrated how he stopped Victor Osimhen from wreaking havoc on his team on Tuesday night during their UEFA Champions League match.
In the quarterfinal second leg match, the Rosoneri held Napoli to a 1-1 draw.
After winning the match 2-1 overall, Stefano Pioli’s team eliminated Napoli.
Late in the first half, Milan took the lead thanks to France international Olivier Giroud.
Deep into stoppage time, Osimhen equalized for the Partenopei.
Even though he enjoyed the competition throughout the game, Tomori regretted the Nigerian international scoring.
“Obviously Victor is having a great season and I know how dangerous he is. I just tried to make sure I got my body in between him and the ball at all times as much as possible,” Tomori said after the game.
“I was disappointed he managed to score at the end. I just tried to get to him as tight as possible and try not to give him a lot of space.”
