Osun APC to suspend members accused of anti-party activities

The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State has cautioned members and leaders of the party to exercise restraint in their quest to instil discipline in the party.

According to the State Secretary of the party, Alhaji Alao Olabisi Kamoru, in a statement issued by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Chief Kola Olabisi, in Osogbo, the Osun State capital Tuesday, all the members of the party should not be in a haste to suspend any member of the party for anti-party activities.

Alao stated that it was resolved at the last meeting of the stakeholders of the party at the state level that any issue bordering on the review of the activities and strengthening of the party before, during and after the series of the last elections would be handled by the 11-member committee drawn from each of the nine federal constituencies across the state at a date to be announced later.

The state APC secretary explained further that what the party is currently working on is the inauguration of the committee which would not be effected under the table.

Alao disclosed that based on this directive from the party at the state level, any suspension of any member of the party carried out by any organ of the party so far is a nullity, without any effect and should be disregarded.

He reminded the members and leaders of the APC that the party is a product of the law built with the blocks of the rules of law for its fortification.
