Starting from his recent rift with Ayo Makun over an alleged N30,000 balance, Basketmouth proved that no amount of setbacks and distractions can hold him back from doing what he knows how to do best.
This was evident when his ribs-cracking jokes made their debut in Middlesbrough, UK recently thus becoming the first African nay Nigerian to perform in the city.
The event, which was dubbed Basketmouth Unprovoked saw his numerous fans numbering up to a thousand from all walks of life turn up at Middlesbrough Town Hall to enjoy his jokes, and they were not disappointed by his performance.
Th stand-in comedian then expressed gratitude to the African Community in the city for accepting the African culture with open arms.
“It’s showing progress,” he laughs, before switching to a solemn mien. “We knew how pivotal it is to keep the engine running. Every year, I spread my gospel of comedy to the European market, and even the US markets. Everyone has got to see the value in what we do. And I am glad they do now.” he said
