BREAKING: Suspected herders kill 34 in Benue

No less than 34 individuals who were seeking safety at a primary school in Mgban in Nyiev council ward in Guma Local Government Area of Benue State were slaughtered by suspected herdsmen.

This happened just two days after the shocking murder of 46 persons at Umogidi in the state’s Otukpo LGA.

Through the local government’s security officer, Christopher Waku, the chairman of the LGA, Mike Aba, referred to the assault as genocide.

24 bodies were taken from the classrooms where the people sought sanctuary, according to Waku, who claimed to be speaking from the scene of the tragedy. Ten bodies were taken from the road indicating they were escaping the attack when they were hit by bullets.

The State Command Spokesperson, Catherine Anene confirmed the attack but asked for more time to get the details.
