Ladi Bako, the 93-year-old spouse of Audu Bako, the first governor of Kano State, has passed away.
The nonagenarian passed away in Kano’s Prime Specialty Hospital on Wednesday, April 5, according to her daughter Zainab Bako, who gave newsmen confirmation of the death.
The Emir’s Palace in Kofar Kudu, Kano, will host her funeral rites.
From May 1967 to July 1975, her husband served as the erstwhile Kano State’s military governor.
