Tuchel arrival 'changed our preparation' for Munich game, says Terzic

Dortmund travel to Munich one point clear of Bayern at the highest point of the Bundesliga table. Terzic stated at the pre-game press conference on Friday that the appointment of the former Dortmund coach in place of Julian Nagelsmann “obviously changed our preparation a little bit” for the matchup at the top of the table.

“We don’t have any idea the amount Thomas Tuchel will forge ahead with what Julian Nagelsmann did over the most recent couple of weeks, or whether he gets totally groundbreaking thoughts. However, the fact that they still have a top team on the field and a top manager on the bench has not changed.”

Terzic acknowledged that his team had observed “the first six games of Thomas Tuchel at Chelsea” in order to gain an understanding of “what could happen in this situation or that.”

“Bring Chelsea together in just a few months and be rewarded by winning the Champions League at the end of the season,” the Dortmund coach praised Tuchel’s ability to do. He’s quite possibly of the best director in Europe and one of the best,” he said.

“I find it to be a real pity what happened with Julian Nagelsmann, who is an absolute top coach,” Terzic said for the first time in public about Nagelsmann’s dismissal. Terzic said this year that “we’re a different side” despite the fact that Dortmund have not won in Munich in the league since 2014.

On Friday, Terzic said that goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, midfielder Julian Brandt, and forwards Youssoufa Moukoko and Karim Adeyemi would all be back from injuries for the match.

Terzic said that English teenager Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, Germany defender Nico Schlotterbeck, and USA forward Gio Reyna, Belgium defender Thomas Meunier, were “question marks” for the game.
