NSCDC, EFCC partner to train anti-fraud department

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has partnership the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to train personnel on handling fraud-related cases and other financial crimes.

This is contained in a statement by NSCDC Director, Public Relations, Commandant Olusola Odumosu on Friday in Abuja.

Odumosu said that the strengthened partnership was established when NSCDC anti-fraud unit, headed by Deputy Commandant of Corps,  Victory Emeribe paid a courtesy visit to the EFCC headquarters, Abuja.

Emeribe said that the visit aimed at discussing further on the upcoming orientation and induction of NSCDC anti-fraud unit personnel from all commands of the corps, nationwide.

She said that the EFCC played a major role in the professional establishment of the unit, hence the need to seek new grounds for effective synergy.

“This visit will help to expand the frontiers of effective service delivery through efficient collaboration, joint training and manpower development,” she said. She said that the unit served as a  watchdog to checkmate any act that could lead to financial embarrassment by personnel.

“ Sanitize the corps of all fraud-related activities and assist members of the public in resolving cases of fraud brought to its attention through the EFCC,” Emeribe said.
