Mateo Kovacic, a midfielder for Chelsea, could leave the team in the summer because his contract has just 16 months left on it. According to the Evening Standard, the Blues will therefore try to offload him in the summer.
Manchester City is rumored to be interested in the player. With Ilkay Gundogan’s contract set to expire in the summer, Kovacic could be an excellent (and reasonably priced) replacement. Manchester United is rumored to be interested in signing the Croatian.
In addition, it is speculated that Thomas Tuchel may be interested in hiring a few of his former Blues teammates once he joins Bayern Munich. One of them is Kovacic, who probably had his best years during that time.
