Suspension: Uzoho to miss Sierra-Leone clash as Omeruo, Ndidi walk tight rope

By David Kabiyesi

Super Eagles gaffer, coach Jose Peseiro will not enjoy the services of Omonia Nicosia goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho after the former Deportivo La Coruna star picked his second yellow card in the qualifier  against Guinea Bissau on Monday.

Speaking after the match, Peseiro maintained that he has confidence in his players, adding that whosoever wins the nod to bark out orders between the sticks will surely give a good account of himself.

“The goalkeeper I’m going to start in my next match, I have confidence. I defend my players every time.

“The fans don’t like some players or criticize them. It’s normal in football. When I start eleven players it’s my responsibility not the responsibility of the fans.” he said

The duo of Wilfred Ndidi and Kenneth Omeruo are also one card away from suspension.
