West Bromwich Albion defender, Semi Ajayi said Super Eagles would leave no stone unturned in their quest to pick three maximum points against Guinea-Bissau in today’s 2023 AFCON qualifiers.
Speaking in Abuja on Thursday, the towering center-back hinged his submission on the team’s preparation ahead of the much anticipated encounter, adding that his teammates are fired up for this encounter.
Semi stressed that his teammates are not unaware of what to expect from their West African neighbours, after both team met at the group stage of 2022 AFCON in Cameroon, which Super Eagles won by three clear goals.
” It won’t be easy but we are already looking up to this game. We will put in our best to get the three points here at home.
“We have met before but I except a different team this time around. Nigerians should come out and support us this evening,” he said.
Nigeria needs six maximum points to book her place at the next AFCON slated for Cote d’Ivoire next January after picking six points from Sierra Leone and Sao Tome and Principe.
