Alan Hutton has backed CHELSEA academy graduate Ruben Loftus-Cheek to join AC Milan for £22million.
The 27-year-old has entered the final 18 months of his contract at Stamford Bridge and there has been a number of reports in the media that he is one player that the club may be open to selling.
He has been a regular under Graham Potter this season – but with all the new faces that are expected to arrive at the end of the season – it will mean that he gets pushed further down that pecking order at Stamford Bridge.
And that has led to some speculation that Italian giants AC Milan are ready to swoop in and take him to Seria A – and are reportedly ready to splash £22 million to try and get a deal done.

Now – amid all the speculation and the rumours – Hutton has tipped the midfielder to leave the Blues at the end of the season – When asked if £22m is a decent price for the centre-mid, Hutton told Football Insider: “I think it is, especially when you see some of the transfer fees we talk about nowadays.
“I know he has had his injury problems but he is still a really good player. He has been out on loan and done really well. He has been playing of late, a little bit in and out.
“He will want to be the first name on the team sheet. If that means going to the likes of AC Milan, it could be a great move.
“[Fikayo] Tomori is there, he knows Tammy Abraham well who is at Roma. So he will get a good idea from these guys of what it is like over there. I think it could be decent.“
There will surely be a number of signings at Chelsea in the summer and Loftus-Cheek will once again find himself on the bench – This would be a massive opportunity to play for one of the biggest clubs in Italian football.
