Brother of slain LP candidate floors Nnamani

By David Kabiyesi

Empathy and emotions seem to have played a huge role over where the pendulum of victory swings in Enugu East upper legislative chamber as erstwhile governor of Enugu State, Chimaroke Nnamani, was defeated by the brother of slain Senator, Sir Kelvin Chukwu in his bid to return to the Senate, iwitnesslive.com can report

Sir Kelvin Chukw polled 69,136 as against Chimaroke’s 48,701. Kelvin replaced his brother, Oyibo, who was murdered in cold blood few days before the February 25 presidential and National Assembly elections.

Recall Nnamani had been “expelled” by PDP,  but was kept in the contest on the ground of the suit he filed in court against the party after claimed that the National Working Committee (NWC) lack the authority to stop him from participating in the election after his name had appeared on INEC final list of candidates displayed.
