Breaking: One feared killed as Nasarawa boils over Gov Sule’s reelection

One person has been reportedly killed as violent protests erupted in Lafia, the capital of Nasarawa State over the outcome of the 2023 governorship elections in the state.

Iwitnesslive learnt that violent protests greeted the announcement of Governor Abdullahi Sule as the winner of the elections.

Several persons were also said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries as dissatisfied residents took to the streets to protest the election result.

The protesters were also seen engaging in the destruction of private and public properties within the metropolis.

The incident has caused gridlock within the metropolis.

Although the state police command was yet to react as of the time of filing this report, security operativeswere seen deployed to strategic locations to forestall the spread of the violent protest and maintain law and order.
