Heavy security as voting begins at Tinubu’s polling unit

There is a heavy presence of security operatives at the polling unit of the President-elect, Bola Tinubu, PU 085, Ward 3, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos State as the voting exercise commenced at exactly 8:30 am at the booth.

Officials of the Department of State Security Services, Nigeria Police Force, and Civil Defence were seen at the PU just as the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa, also visited the booth for inspection around 8:19 am.

Our correspondent observed that officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission arrived the polling unit at around 7:30 and the voting commenced one hour later after Assistant Presiding Officer Unit III of INEC, Adebola Adebiyi, had displayed the BVAS and empty ballot box

She added that said the voting would end by 2:30 pm and urged voters to adhere strictly to the rules and regulations.
