Gridlock hits the Abeokuta-Sagamu expressway, on Saturday morning, as motorists majority of who are tanker drivers were held up in a roadblock instituted by some soldiers on election duty.
The Federal Government has declared a restriction of movement from 12 am to 6 pm for the governorship and state assembly elections and the soldiers were reportedly insisting the roadblock would not be lifted until the end of the polls.
Our correspondent learnt that motorists have been left stranded on the route since midnight and many of them complained that they could be denied the opportunity of casting their votes.
