Inter, Juve in Top Four faceoff

This weekend’s Serie A schedule involves key games in the battle for Champions League places. Juventus are still looking to make up ground on the top four, with Inter currently second in the table.
This clash wraps up the Serie A ahead of the international break and it could end being a key indicator of how the top four race might finish this season.
Juventus are still battlig to recover from their 15-point deduction earlier this year. But they are still in the running for a Champions League spot if they can end the campaign strongly.
Ahead of this game, Max Allegri’s Juventus are the team in better form, with the visitors winning five of their last six league matches, compared to Inter’s return of three victories in their last six Serie A outings.
However, despite their issues domestically, Inter have been boosted by sealing a place in the Champions League quarterfinals this season, after squeezing past Porto and they will be expecting to get at least a point at the San Siro.
Within their respective runs of form, both sides have endured a low-key goal return, with Inter scoring three goals in their last three league games and Juventus scoring seven in their five away league ties since the start of 2023.
Only one of Inter’s last six games has featured over 2.5 goals scored in total between both sides after 90 minutes of league action, with Juventus matching that tally in five of their last seven in Serie A.
Despite Juventus looking to be in stronger form, Inter have only conceded two goals in six home league games in 2023, with just one defeat on home soil since the turn of the year.
Inter will be confident of already doing enough to seal a top four place, with Juventus still facing an uphill task. But both sides have progressed positively in European competition in 2023.
