Gov. Obaseki reverses illegal sack of Ambrose Alli University staffs

Gov. Godwin Obaseki of Edo has ordered the management of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, to withdraw recent disengagement letters issued to some staff of the institution.

Special Adviser on Media Projects to the Governor, Mr. Crusoe Osagie, said in a  statement released to newsmen in Benin on Wednesday.

Governor Obaseki in a statement rendered all sack notices issued to some staff of the university as illegal, null, and void.

“The management is to retrieve any such illegal letters if they were ever issued and reinstate the affected staff.

“I have ordered an in-depth investigation into what led to the sporadic issuance of illegal sack letters and assure that anyone found culpable will be brought to book,” the governor said.

The Governor said he is committed to the welfare of staff of the University, adding that he is leaving no stone unturned to seek lasting solutions to all lingering crisis affecting staff of thi institution.
