Barring any last minute hitches, members of Nigeria’s Under 17 national team, Golden Eaglets are expected in camp today to commence next phase of preparation, iwitnesslive.com can report.
Head coach, Nduka Ugbade revealed that about 90 players that passed earlier Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) test are expected at the Goal Project Abuja camp today.
According to him, the next phase of camping is to prepare the team for the U-17 Africa Cup of Nations billed for Algiers, Constantine and Annaba in Algeria in May this year.
“About 90 players who have passed the MRI will resume camp on Wednesday.
“Thereafter, the number will be trimmed down to 60 after the official MRI to be conducted by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
“I am greatly satisfied with the number of talents seen so far. I have a pool of athletes to choose from but talent in itself, is no longer enough.
The Golden Eaglets have been drawn into Group B alongside Zambia, Morocco and South Africa.
