Although the dust is yet to settle on criticism around Tems’ gown at just concluded Oscar Awards, controversial Nollywood actor, Yul Edochie has come in defense of the music star, iwitnesslive.com can report.
Yul lauded the music star for her choice of dress code, adding that she stole the show with her gown just like American actor Will Smith’s slap at the 2022 Oscar ceremony made headlines more than the show itself.
The Nollywood star took to his verified Instagram handle to shower encomium on Tems for emerging as one of the best-dressed celebrities at the 95th Academy Awards and above all, showcasing Nigeria in a good light globally.
“Before you criticize @temsbaby for her Oscar dress, attend the Oscars first. Just like Will Smith’s slap did last year, Tems stole the show this year. Congratulations girl. We’re proud of you. Nigeria is proud of you.” Yul wrote.
It would be recalled that Will Smith became the talk of the Oscar in 2022 after he slapped Chris Rock, one of the hosts of the Oscars 2022 after the comedian cracked a joke about his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith.
