Determined to leave his footprints on the sand of time, Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke said he is out to support the vision behind the establishment of Ilesa University.
The institution was established by erstwhile governor, Adegboyega Oyetola after Osun State College of Education, Ilesa, was upgraded to University.
Governor Adeleke said he is out to assess the actual state of the varsity and brainstorm with his people on how best to raise the standard of the institution.
“I am here to assess the actual state of the University of Ilesa and rub minds with our people on moving Ijeshaland forward.
“My goal is to ensure that the university is properly established just as the PDP government of former Gov. Olagunsoye Oyinlola did on the establishment of Osun State University.
“The review committee has submitted its report and I am issuing a White Paper,’’ he said.
The governor inaugurated an 11-man committee on Jan. 10 to rub minds on how best to review the establishment of the university.
