According to the Independent, Real Madrid is plotting a swoop of Erling Haaland from Manchester City this summer.
The Norwegian striker joined the Manchester outfit last summer from Borussia Dortmund and has had a swashbuckling start to his goalscoring campaign in England.
But despite breaking multiple records in England several pundits have claimed that the young forward might not be suitable to Guardiola’s system and could be destined to a switch to Real Madrid. With Los Blancos vying for a striker in the summer, they could closely monitor the situation of Haaland.
Meanwhile, Rafael Pimenta, Haaland’s agent, has termed Real Madrid a ‘dreamland’ in an interview with FT Business of Football summit in London (via the SUN).
Pimento suggested that Haaland wanted to move to the Premier League to work with Pep Guardiola and experience what his father did with the English heavyweights.
The report further suggests that Pimento has drawn out a trajectory for her agent and Madrid could be a future destination for the Norwegian forward.
“But when we have a player, we make plans. Even if the player is 15-years-old. We are planning out his career trajectory. And Real Madrid has something of its own that makes it the Dreamland for the players.” suggested Pimenta
“Madrid keeps this magic going. It doesn’t have the league competition but it does have the Champions League.” said the agent while talking about Madrid
