Netizens bully Mercy Johnson for backing Sanwo-Olu's second-term bid

Nollywood actress, Mercy Johnson, has come under severe criticism after she openly declared her support for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s second term bid iwitnesslive.com can report.

The Nigerian movies diva had told her followers on Instagram how she intends to cast her vote for the incumbent governor; a statement that did not go down well with some Labour Party and PDP faithful.

She maintained that Governor Sanwo-Olu has done enough to improve healthcare, women’s development, transportation, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure in the State.

“This is why my choice is Governor Babajide Sanwoolu; His efforts that have improved healthcare, women’s development, transportation, entrepreneurship, education, and infrastructure in Lagos State.

“Key points for me include the handling of the Covid-19 pandemic, entrepreneurship support, and all the work behind the scenes helping women who have been victims of domestic violence to support their entrepreneurship.

“His results can be seen and measured. Yes, there is still a lot of work left to do, I believe in my heart that he can and will do as he says,” she wrote.

His comments then sparked up anger among her followers who lambasted her for throwing her weight behind the APC candidate
