The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State, Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, has expressed his sympathy to the victims of the fire that razed the Akere Spare Parts Market, Ajegunle.
Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, assuresd the traders who suffer countless losses in the inferno of his personal support and the support of his government when he is elected as the governor of the state.
“I can only imagine the huge loss to traders who use the market. I wish to convey my sympathy to the victims and the leaders of the traders association in the market,” he said.
Jandor, however, called on the law enforcement agencies to investigate the incident and provide adequate security for all other major markets in the state especially those dominated by the non Yoruba speaking residents.
The popular market was reported to have been consumed by fire in the early hours of today with a loss of life and property worth millions of naira.
