The Lagos State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has maintained its stand that its governorship candidate, Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor), will not step down for any other candidate in the March 11 Guber election.
The party also debunked claims made by the Labour Party governorship candidate, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour that he is talking with what he called “the real owners of PDP structure in Lagos State.”
Spokesman of the PDP, Hakeem Amode said, “PDP is a proper democratic party and it is only the state executive of the party as recognised by the national body that can be described as the custodian of the party under the leadership of the governorship candidate, Dr Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran (Jandor).
“So, those who Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour are talking to are only representing themselves and not Lagos PDP, as no official conversation across the two party lines at the moment, and Jandor is not planning to step down for any candidate.”
