There was tension on Sunday afternoon after some hoodlum attempted to set a collation center in Takai LGA of Kano state on fire.
iwitnesslive.com gathered that it took the collective efforts of INEC officials to put out the fire after which election materials were moved to a safe place.
The staff’s laudable effort did not come without a huge price after one of the officials got injured in the process.
Police image maker in the state, Abdullahi Kiyawa revealed that some of the hoodlums have been arrested.
“Attempts were made by some miscreants to burn down the place but the fire was put out and all the election materials were evacuated,” he added.
“More so, three persons have been arrested and investigations are on.” Abdullahi Kiyawa said.
