He broke electoral law, netizens slam Buhari for displaying ballot paper after voting

President Muhammadu Buhari has come under harsh criticism for displaying his ballot paper after casting his vote at his polling unit in his hometown, Daura, Katsina State on Saturday.

Buhari was seen raising his ballot where it was visibly seen that he cast his vote for his All Progressives Congress and it has been termed to mean that he was still campaigning for the APC even on election day which contravenes the position of the electoral law.

“The President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari has just broken many election laws by campaigning after voting while he even showed his voting slip to the public after voting,” Wole Opatola wrote on his Facebook page.

“Na so he dey do. He did the same in 2019. He is a President that would be forgotten in a hurry. He shouldn’t ever have been civilian President – but the prevalent factors in Nigeria made him President, and there is so precious little we can do about that in the immediate period, sadly,” Babatunde Akinbinu said.

Animasahun Abidemi wrote, “This is a blunder I hope the opposition Party won’t use this against Tinubu if he wins”
