Everton certainly wants Alex Iwobi to remain at Goodisson Park come next summer following the midfielder’s immense contributions this season.
Towards this end, the club will go ahead with it’s plans to open fresh contact talk with the former Arsenal midfielder after trying down Jordan Pickford with a new deal.
The Athletic reported that the club chiefs will, in the coming days be engaging Iwobi in a heart-to-hearth discussion over what he would earn starting next summer. Expectedly, the contract agreement is expected to come to a close within a week provided there are no hitches.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles midfielder is one of the shining lights this season after Everton endured a doom and gloom performance in the EPL this season.
