Election: Osun declares Friday a public holiday

The Osun State Government has declared Friday, February 24 as a public holiday to enable residents prepare for the presidential election.

The Secretary to the State Government, Teslim Igbalaye in a statement said the holiday will afford indigenes and residents opportunity to travel to their various localities to participate in the polls.

He said, “This is time for all citizens to exercise their voting rights. His Excellency again appeals to all residents to be law-abiding as they peacefully exercise their voting rights on Saturday and subsequent elections.”
