In a desperate effort to sway Saturday’s presidential elections in their favor, politicians have started compiling voters’ account numbers.
iwitnesslive.com gathered that some political parties who are bent on engaging in vote buying have been collecting account details belonging to voters with the sole aim of crediting them immediately after Saturday’s polls.
The so-called political parties have been having a hell of a time giving out cash due to the new naira policy, but have embraced online transfers to beat the trap since they cannot access the large chunk of money required to accomplish their goal.
Indeed, a former Senator representing Kaduna Central Senatorial District in the 8th National Assembly, Shehu Sani, confirmed on his Twitter account this morning that politicians have been collating accounts details belonging to voters
“Vote buyers have resorted to collecting the account numbers of the electorates. There is also sharing palliatives in return for votes,” the former lawmaker tweeted.
