Flying Eagles head coach, Ladan Bosso has tasked his players to rediscover the goalscoring that saw them bang in 86 goals on the road to African Championship as they face another stiff test against host Egypt on Wednesday.
Still smarting from their 1-0 loss to the Teranga Cubs on Sunday evening, Bosso has warned his players to take their chances early enough against the Egyptians if they want to remain in the tournament.
He lamented Nigeria’s 1-0 defeat on Sunday, saying that his boys failed to take their chances against the Senegalese who capitalized on their chances and sat on the goal all through.
” We failed to take our chances, especially in the first 15 minutes of the match. Senegal had their chances in the last 15 minutes of the match and they took it.
“We need to work on finishing our chances and defend well in our next game because that is what they did; scored late in the first half, came back, and defended their goal,” Bosso lamented.
Flying face Junior Pharaohs in their second group knowing fully well that only a win will keep them in the competition.
