All Progressive Congress (APC) got a huge knock on Monday afternoon after Federal High Court seated in Lagos barred the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) from endorsingMusiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo’s commercial buses from moving voting materials and personnel around Lagos, iwitnesslive.com can report.
The Labour Party and five others had filed a suit kicking against INEC plans to engage the Oluomo-led Taxi Park committee as one of the bodies that would be saddled with the distribution of voting materials in Lagos.
The order of injunction was finally granted this afternoon to the delights of oppositions who claimed that such moves by INEC is tantamount to encouraging massive rigging in Saturday’s presidential election.
Federal High court ruled that the order stops INEC (defendant/respondent) “whether by itself or by its officers, affiliates, servants, privies or agents or any person acting or purporting to act for and on its behalf howsoever from taking any steps or further steps whatsoever in furtherance of the engagement or appointment or consummating the appointment” of the Akinsanya-led Lagos State Parks Management Committee.
