West Ham is still desperate to bring in a new striker by next summer with Nice and Super Eagles striker Terem Moffi top in the pecking of players short-listed by Hammers scout, Iwitnesslive.com can report.
Insiderreportt.co.uk revealed that Southampton and West Ham lost the chance to sign Moffi in the January transfer window but lost out to Nice. But West Ham promised to keep in touch with the striker.
The Super Eagles striker joined Nice for an initial low fee of £2m in a deal that will run through this season, but West Ham is willing to wait for his services.
West Ham was leading the race to sign him in the last days of the January transfer window while Southampton was also confident of signing him until their £20 million bid was rejected by Lorient.
Moffi’s market value has risen to the £30 million mark since becoming French Ligue 1’s second top scorer.
