Iyabo Ojo defies online bullying, declares support for Peter Obi

By David Kabiyesi

When Toyin Abrahams raised alarm over series of online bullying she was subjected to for declaring her support for All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, many never took her serious.

Another Nollywood star actress, Iyabo Ojo came under  barrage of abuses on Thursday after a Netizen named Wale S. Akerele labelled her a prostitute on Twitter for openly declaring her preference for Peter Obi.

Like some of her Yoruba artists who rallied behind Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Iyabo Ojo choose a different path entirely and opted to support Peter Obi in the forthcoming presidential elections.

“I Alice Iyabo Ojo strongly believe in Peter Obi & I stand Obedient in my choice whether he wins or not because my vision & dreams for my country aligns with the Obedient agenda..”

“I do not belong to any political party, I also choose not to campaign for any political party, but I stand obedient for presidency… so help us God.”

In her words, “I Alice Iyabo Ojo strongly believe in Peter Obi & I stand Obedient in my choice whether he wins or not because my vision & dreams for my country aligns with the Obedient agenda..”

“I do not belong to any political party, I also choose not to campaign for any political party, but I stand obedient for presidency… so help us God.”

Wale S. Akerele then attacked her on Twitter saying:

“Alasewo Iyabo Ojo @IYSexxy. Madam gboko gboko. Asiwaju doesn’t need your support Asiwaju doesn’t need Alasewo support he needs decent women with class, intelligent women keep your support OLOSHO. @officialABAT will win,” he wrote

In a swift response, Iyabo who refused to let her guard down Ojo hit back, casting aspersions on her attacker.

“Who is this one, animal, place, or thing? ……….. Akowere, trust me, you’re a product of Alasewo bcos your mother, wife & sidehens are all bonafide members,” she wrote.
