The former second vice president of the Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Monday Ubani, has faulted President Muhammadu Buhari for over ruling the Supreme Court on the issue of naira swap.
Speaking on a Channels Television programme, Ubani said the decision of the president will inflict more hardship and suffering on Nigerians.
Ubani said, “I’m not happy with the decision of the president to over rule the Supreme Court in this matter. It is not proper precedent for Nigeria’s democracy.
“We are telling the international community that we are not a country that respect rule of law and pronouncement of courts in our country.
“The president should not allowed the Supreme Court to complete it’s hearing on the case but the nationwide address.”
