Following the escalating protests across the states over the scarcity of new naira notes, President Muhammadu Buhari will today (Thursday) at 7am make a nationwide broadcast to the nation.
The special adviser to the president on media and publicity, Femi Adesina, said the broadcast will be on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Radio Nigeria.
Adesina said, “President Muhammadu Buhari will make a national broadcast on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 7 am.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast.”
Although the statement did not indicate the purpose of the nationwide broadcast, but Iwitnesslive reports that it may be on the ongoing protests, which many other states are expected to join today.
