Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu said the state has commenced the distribution of food packs to the vulnerable following untold hardship the new naira policy has brought upon the people in the state.
The governor in one of his tweets on Wednesday evening said that the state has joined the dispute at the Supreme Court, which adjourned the hearing of the matter till Feb 22.
He then urges Lagosian to be law-abiding until the case is resolved.
“Dear Lagosians,
“I hereby commend your patience and calmness, following the sad controversy generated by the Naira shortage crisis.
“I would like to inform you that we have joined the dispute at the Supreme Court, which adjourned the hearing of the matter till Feb 22.
“To cushion the effect of the CBN directive, especially on the vulnerable among us, Lagos State has started the distribution of the food packs as earlier promised, while the 50% fare slash on all State transportation services facilities continues.
“Thank you all and God bless,” he said
