Akindele urges youths to vote for PDP in Lagos

The deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Lagos State, Funke Akindele, has advised youths in the state to vote for the party in the forthcoming general election.

Akindele promised that vote for PDP will guarantee good governance and dividends of democracy in the state.

Speaking at a programme organised by the Lagos Youths Movement (LYM) in Alimosho area of the state, Akindele said Lagos needs to be governed by people like Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) that has made his mark in the private sector before joining politics.

Akindele advised the youths to ensure they exercise their civic rights by votes for the party that has solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.

She said, “It is our right to participate in the coming elections and Lagos politics because we reside and do business in the state. In the 2023 general elections,  we must get it right by voting Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as President and Dr Abdul-Azeez Adediran (Jandor) as Lagos governor. Enough is enough in Lagos.

“We need to get our ourselves liberated from the hands of the tyranny and oppressors in Lagos. We need an independent governor in Lagos not a stooge. Jandor and I have never held any political office but had been in private businesses developing talents. With my film organisation,  I have nurtured talents that have added value to the development of Lagos and Nigeria.

“We have plenty youths with talents but the present APC government is never interested in nurturing the talents and make the youths more productive. Mark my word, Jandor government will do better than the APC government in Lagos. We will help you in developing your talents beyond your expectations.”
