Super Eagles assistant goalkeeper, Adebayo Adeleye is confident of moving to one of the European top-flight clubs next summer, iwitnesslive.com can exclusively report.
In a telephone chat with iwtnesslive.com from his base, the Hapoel Jerusalem star revealed that his much-anticipated move away from Israel in the January transfer window was mooted by his agent and suitors until Hapoel chieftains prevailed on the former Golden Eaglets goalkeeper to wait till next summer.
” I got offers in the January transfer window but Hapoel wants me to stay on till summer to help the club finish well this season
” It is the dream of every player to play the game at the top flight but I am waiting for the perfect time to do that, and hopefully next summer will be that time,” he told iwitnesslive.com.
Adeleye has been outstanding for his Israeli side this summer, punching above his weight between the sticks and he believes rubbing shoulders with some of Europe’s top players will give him the much-needed push to fight for shirts in Super Eagles.
Leye as he is fondly called has also continued to impress coach Jose Peseiro with his work rate in training as he looks forward to his first start under the Portuguese tactician.
