The deadline for submissions to the 2024, 7th edition of the Kaduna International Film Festival (KADIFF) is today, January 6.
Last year, KADIFF initiated a call for submissions in various film categories, encompassing Feature, Shorts, Student, Animation, Documentary, Experimental, and Indigenous films.
The festival has also unveiled the zonal and international coordinators for the 2024 edition, a roster sanctioned by Audu Kashim Israel, the vice chairman of the Nigeria Film Festivals Association and the founder of KADIFF.
The appointed coordinators, spanning various regions, include Ty Shaba, Fatima S.U Garba, Abubakar B. Abdulkareem, Maikudi Umar, and Kamal Abdullahi for the northwest; Engineer Zaynab J.B Switch, Comrade Umar Ali Yakubu, Emmanuel Eyaba DGN, and Alhaji Sani Mu’azu for the north central; Arebi Jajere (northeast), Stanley Kingsley Amadi (southeast), Sele O. Selo (south-south), and Teco Benson and Bukola Thomas (Southwest).
Internationally, the coordinators comprise Amir Ramses (Egypt), Aubrey Silinyana (South Africa), Ashiraf Mulima (Uganda), Princess Faridah Ndausi (Uganda), and Anna Deluche (France).
Audu emphasized that the selection of coordinators was based on their notable contributions to Africa’s film and creative industries. He urged them to utilize their extensive experience in hosting one of the prominent film festivals in Africa.
The Kaduna International Film Festival 2024 is scheduled to take place from August 27 to 31, themed as “Cinema and Cultural Exchange.”
