On Thursday, the Nigeria Customs Service, Kano Area Command, handed over 665 pieces of donkey skins to Dr. Adamu Gano, the North-West Coordinator of the Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Services.
Additionally, the NCS delivered 450 blocks of compressed Indian hemp to the Commander of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and 1,290 cartons of unregistered pharmaceutical products to the State Coordinator of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control.
The collaborative event, hosted at the Customs House in Bompai, marked a significant stride in the joint endeavors of the organizations to combat illegal activities and uphold public health.
The Comptroller of Customs for Kano State, Mr. Dauda Chana, expressed satisfaction with the fruitful outcomes of these collaborative efforts in his remarks at the occasion.
“The successful coordination and cooperation between our organisation and our esteemed partner agencies exemplify our shared dedication to maintaining a safe and healthy environment for all citizens.
“We remain resolute in our commitment to eradicating illegal activities that pose a threat to our society,” Chana said.
Representatives of various organisations who spoke lauded the support from the NCS and sought sustained inter-agency cooperation in addressing the prevailing complex challenges.
