How 10 percent stalled Osimhen’s Napoli deal as player blasts fans

Napoli’s Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, is yet to sign a new deal with the club that will keep him beyond 2025. The negotiation has been stalled due to a disagreement over certain clauses.
According to reports, the club owner, Aurelio De Laurentiis, accused Osimhen of reneging on earlier promises to renew his contract which is set to expire in 2025.
However, both parties have dug their heels in, with the player’s representatives insisting on a somewhat affordable release clause and a salary equivalent of 10% of the release clause amount, while the club doesn’t want to go that high.
Osimhen had a stellar season with Napoli, scoring 26 goals and setting up another four goals in 30 games.
An agreement is necessary before next summer as his valuation will plummet, and his departure will become a lot more likely if a deal is not reached by then.
In other news, the striker was involved in a clash with some fans on Monday after they damaged his car. A video surfaced on the internet where Osimhen was visibly angry at fans who wanted him to sign autographs. It seemed the fans had caused a scratch on his car, and he was visibly annoyed. Although the fans tried to pacify him, he ended up wounding his glass in frustration.
