Tinubu writes Senate, requesting confirmation for NEDC board members

President Bola Tinubu has sent a letter to the Senate, seeking confirmation of members for the governing board of the North East Development Commission. The Senate President, GodsWill Akpabio, read the President’s letter during the plenary on Wednesday. 

The nominees for confirmation include General Paul Tarfa as Chairman (North East Adamawa), Hon Gambo Maikyau as a member (North East Taraba), Abdullahi Abbas as a member (North West Kano), Zaf Steven Ondora as a member (North Central Benue), and Chief Mutiu Lawal Areh as a member (South West Lagos). 

Additionally, there is Samuel Ifeanyi Onuigbo is a member (South East Abia), Frank Achinike Owo is a member (South-South Rivers), and Mohamed Goni Alkali a Managing Director (North East Borno). Furthermore, for re-appointment, the nominees are Musa Yashi as Executive Director of Humanitarian Affairs (North East Bauchi), Ahmed Abdulsalam Yahaya as Executive Director of Operations (North East Gombe), and Dr Abubakar Garba Ileah as Executive Director of Admin and Finance (North East Yobe). 

The Senate will deliberate on these nominations for the North East Development Commission board members.
