Unknown Gunmen kill church worshipper in Edo

According to reports, a middle-aged man named Ehis Dada was tragically killed by suspected cult group members in Benin City, the capital of Edo State. The incident occurred after the Sunday service in the Amagba Community, which the victim had attended.

A short video of the incident has circulated widely on various social media platforms, leaving the community in a state of shock. 

The identity of the cult group responsible for the killing and the motive behind the murder remains unknown at this time.

Concerns have been raised by residents regarding the safety of worshippers in religious gathering places. 

The incident has sparked outrage among the community members, who are demanding a thorough investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.

Resident said, “The deceased was shot dead after leaving the church on Sunday. This caused panic in the community and we are calling on the authorities.”

Attempts to contact the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Chidi Nwabuzor, were unsuccessful as the phone calls made were unable to connect.
