Super Eagles gaffer, Jose Peseiro may not have his one year contract extended by his employers if feelers from the country’s soccer-governing body is anything to go by.
Word was rife in Abuja that Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) hierarchy are not too impress with his input since becoming the country’s national team coach.
Besides, the players were said to have raised their reservation with Peseiro’s yardstick for inviting players for national engagement as many of them wondered why the best legs are not considered for call-ups.
“Peseiro is not likely to have his one year deal extended by the current NFF board who feel he was imposed on Nigeria by Pinnick-board. Besides, the board is not too impressed with overall team performance.
” Players have also complained about his manner of invitations as most of our best legs are not even considered for invitation, and players discussed this issue alot,” said a top NFF inside source.
